Editorial Team

The Editorial Team of Global Journal of Digital Business, Marketing, and Social Development is responsible for maintaining the academic quality, scientific integrity, editorial independence, and ethical standards of all manuscripts submitted to the journal.
 
The Editorial Team manages the editorial workflow professionally, objectively, transparently, and systematically through the Open Journal Systems platform. The editorial process includes administrative screening, scope assessment, originality checking, peer review, revision, copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and publication.

Editorial Structure

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall editorial policy, academic direction, quality assurance, and final editorial decisions of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief ensures that all editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the journal’s scope, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field.

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor coordinates the daily editorial workflow, communication among authors, editors, reviewers, copyeditors, layout editors, and proofreaders. The Managing Editor ensures that each manuscript is processed in accordance with the journal's procedures and that all editorial stages are properly documented in OJS.

Section Editor

Section Editors handle manuscripts according to their areas of expertise. Their responsibilities include preliminary assessment of manuscript content, evaluation of relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, selection of reviewers, assessment of reviewer reports, recommendation of editorial decisions, and supervision of the revision process.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board provides academic input on journal development, supports improvements in manuscript quality, strengthens scholarly networks, and contributes to the journal's visibility and credibility. Editorial Board members are selected based on academic competence, research experience, publication record, and relevance to the journal’s subject areas.

Copyeditor

The Copyeditor is responsible for improving the clarity of language, consistency of terminology, sentence structure, citation style, manuscript formatting, and overall readability. The Copyeditor does not change the scientific substance of the manuscript without approval from the editor and author.

Layout Editor

The Layout Editor prepares accepted manuscripts for final publication in the journal's template format. The Layout Editor ensures consistency in the presentation of title, author information, abstract, tables, figures, references, page layout, licensing statement, and article metadata.

Proofreader

The Proofreader conducts the final check before publication. This includes checking typographical errors, spelling, grammar, formatting consistency, table and figure readability, and the accuracy of article metadata.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by the authors’ institutional affiliation, academic rank, gender, religion, political views, nationality, personal relationship, or commercial interest. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest in handling manuscripts. If an editor has a personal, academic, institutional, financial, or professional relationship with the author, the manuscript will be assigned to another qualified editor.
