Peer Review Process

Global Journal of Digital Business, Marketing, and Social Development employs a peer-review process to ensure that published articles meet appropriate standards of academic quality, originality, methodological soundness, and scholarly contribution. The journal uses a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

Initial Administrative Screening

Each submitted manuscript will be checked by the editorial office to ensure the file is complete, complies with the journal template, has complete metadata, and adheres to the author guidelines.

Focus and Scope Screening

The editor evaluates whether the manuscript is relevant to the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts that are not related to digital business, digital marketing, business management, entrepreneurship, digital communication, or social development may be rejected at the initial stage.

Plagiarism Screening

The manuscript will be checked using similarity detection software. Manuscripts with indications of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or inappropriate similarity may be returned to the author or rejected.

Editor Assignment

Manuscripts that pass initial screening will be assigned to an editor whose expertise is relevant to the manuscript topic. The editor coordinates the review process and provides an editorial recommendation.

Reviewer Assignment

The manuscript will be sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s substance, methodology, results, discussion, contribution, and ethical compliance.

Review Process

Reviewers provide comments, suggestions, and recommendations to the editor. Reviewer comments must be objective, constructive, and intended to improve the quality of the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment, the editor may make one of the following decisions:
Accepted
Minor Revision
Major Revision
Resubmit for Review
Rejected

Author Revision

Authors must revise the manuscript according to the editor and reviewer comments. Authors are also required to provide a response to reviewer comments in a clear and systematic manner.

Re-Evaluation

The editor may re-evaluate the revised manuscript or send it back to reviewers when necessary. Manuscripts that fail to address substantial reviewer comments may be rejected.

Copyediting, Layout Editing, and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts will proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before publication. Authors are required to check the final version of the article before publication.

Estimated Review Time

The estimated review process is 4–8 weeks, depending on manuscript completeness, reviewer availability, number of revisions, and manuscript complexity. This timeline does not guarantee acceptance, as all editorial decisions are based on academic quality and publication ethics.

Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts. Editors or reviewers who have a conflict of interest with the author or manuscript are not allowed to handle the manuscript.
